Carbide-tipped hole saws last longer and are harder than bimetal for more abrasive materials such as wood, PVC, man-made building materials, and fiberglass. The saws have a special tooth set designed for more efficient removal of difficult-to-cut materials than bimetal hole saws. The kit comes in a plastic case with a handle.
Hole saws cut holes in various materials with a drill. They are hollow cylinders made of metal with teeth on one end and an arbor hole or built-in arbor on the other end.
